He holds a clinical academic position at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute, where he teaches and supervises postgraduate dentists in both research and advanced clinical practice relating to fixed and removable prosthodontics.
His work focuses on challenging cases, including full mouth rehabilitations, advanced tooth wear, developmental anomalies (such as hypodontia and amelogenesis imperfecta) as well as the prosthodontic management of oncology patients.
His courses combine academic rigour with clinical relevance, and are designed for dentists who want to deepen their understanding of restorative, implant, and digital workflows.
He has received multiple awards, including First Prize at the Italian Academy of Prosthodontics (AIOP), the UCL Eastman 3M Prize for Clinical and Academic Excellence, and recognition from the British Society of Prosthodontics (BSSPD).

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr. Hussain plays an active role in postgraduate education. He serves as a Clinical Educator at the University of Manchester Dental Hospital, where he mentors and trains dentists in surgical and non-surgical periodontics, implantology, and regenerative techniques.
Dr. Hussain is also the co-founder of PerioMatters, an educational platform dedicated to advancing periodontal and implant knowledge among clinicians through courses, discussions, and evidence-based training. His commitment to professional development extends to his position on the leadership team of the National Osteology Group UK, where he contributes to bridging the gap between scientific research and clinical application.
His teaching and clinical philosophy focus on biological precision, minimally invasive techniques, and long-term stability — offering a unique perspective that blends academic depth with real-world surgical experience.
Dr Ruslana Kolisnyk graduated from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, in 2017. She began her professional journey as a general dentist in Norway, where she gained broad clinical experience before relocating to Belgium in 2020, where she continues to practice.
Her clinical work focuses on Bio-inspired Advanced Adhesive Restorative Dentistry, a field that integrates the latest biomimetic principles and adhesive techniques to recreate the natural function and aesthetics of teeth. In 2021, she joined the Biomimetic Program by David and Davey Alleman, further refining her skills in minimally invasive, long-lasting restorative approaches.
Dr Kolisnyk’s dedication to advancing restorative dentistry extends beyond clinical practice. As a hands-on instructor for Mimétika, she shares her expertise with other dental professionals, combining scientific understanding with practical application.

About the course
A Crown Lengthening Masterclass
Who is the course intended for?
Tailored for general dentists and specialists aiming to enhance expertise in crown lengthening. Ideal for those committed to elevating restorative dentistry and delivering predictable, high-quality outcomes for patients.
Anatomical Precision Mastery
Gain in-depth insights into periodontal and surgical anatomy, essential for precise diagnosis and effective crown lengthening procedures.
Patient-Centric Proficiency
Learn to identify indications and contraindications, ensuring proper patient selection for successful crown lengthening outcomes and satisfaction.
Structural Preservation Expertise
Master the concepts of biological width and ferrule for optimal restorative dentistry, preserving tooth structure and ensuring long-term success.
Surgical Mastery Toolkit
Acquire comprehensive skills in osseous surgery, instrumentation, suturing techniques, and flap reflection for precise and efficient crown lengthening procedures.
Step 1: Simulation
The initial section of the course is dedicated to the art of simulation. Here, we will guide you through the process of creating a preview for your patient . This step is pivotal as it enables you to secure patient approval by showcasing the expected result through the wax up and by placing the mockup in the patient's mouth.
Step 2: Copy
The heart of the course lies in the "Copy" section. This phase delves into the intricate details of copying the diagnostic wax up in the injection moulding template. This process is executed using clear silicon, ensuring precision and attention to every nuance. The level of detail and thoroughness during this step is a hallmark of our course and sets the foundation for achieving exceptional results.
Step 3: Paste
The final section, "Paste," involves the execution phase within the patient's mouth. This step encompasses the duplication of the wax up, realised through the injection moulding technique you've learned. By seamlessly integrating the pasted version into the patient's oral cavity, you showcase the culmination of the simulation and copying phases. This execution is a testament to the perfected injection moulding technique and its potential to transform your practice.
